This is the king of the Amathusidae family - Although its wingspan only justifies a "large" size- its surface area would qualify it as "huge." Very few butterflies sport such a unique and identifiable geometric pattern and even fewer have the beautiful violet hue that so prominently characterizes this species. Very few vendors offer this unique butterfly. Add all of those fantastic qualities together and you will be pleasantly surprised at the affordable price for this treasure piece!
