Kallima is derived from the Greek word for beautiful - and the namer of this butterfly got it precisely right! This "Dead Leaf" butterfly gets its name from the underside- which so closely resembles a dead leaf that we would have to give it the Best Camouflage Award! Most vendors offer the Kallima Paralekta - we prefer the Limborgii because it has a more prominent blue coloring with the same fabulous camouflage on the underside. The undersides vary greatly in coloring - depending on the time of death of the butterfly - so you may want to order more than one for comparison.
